The aim of the Workshop is to produce written documents giving a summary of where we feel we stand with respect to the topics we shall be discussing. We thus will be having very few talks, but instead will try to compare results of various approaches to these issues.
We have organized our topics into two parts:
Group A: Limits and nuisance parameters; p-values and significance with nuisance parameters
Group C: Multivariate analysis / signal-background separation / machine learning; goodness of fit with sparse multi-dimensional data
The convenors for the two groups are: Group A: David van Dyk, Joel Heinrich (intervals), Luc Demortier (p-values) Group C: Nancy Reid and Byron Roe
The plan is roughly that the two groups (and possibly sub-groups) will meet separately for parts of the workshop, and we will meet in plenary sessions for other parts.
