Proposal Resubmission Form

This form is for organizers of workshops that were cancelled/postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you would like to reschedule your workshop, please follow the process outlined below.

This will not guarantee spots for cancelled workshops in the 2021 or 2022 calendars. What is possible is determined in large part by availability of space and Canada's changing pubic health policy and travel restrictions.

There are 4 steps in the resubmission process:

  1. The first step: since BIRS workshop proposals are confidential, we must authenticate you. Enter your Workshops login information, below. If you do not yet have a Workshops account, register for one here. If you are on the organizing committee of more than one 2020 workshop, you will be asked to select the proposal to resubmit.
  2. The second step:
    • Select your preferred and impossible dates in the 2021 (for Banff workshops) and 2022 calendar years. You may select up to 3 preferred dates for 2021, and up to 5 preferred dates for 2022. You may select up to 3 impossible dates, in total.
    • Review the proposal you submitted in 2018.
    • Optional: indicate any changes in your proposed participant list or program format. This just a single text field [character limit of 500].
  3. The third step: review what you are about to submit, with the option to go back and change.
  4. The fourth step: submit your data to BIRS. A copy will be emailed to the contact organizer.
