Description

The Casa Matemática Oaxaca (CMO) will host the "Geometric and Analytical Aspects of Nonlinear Elliptic Equations and Related Evolution Problems" workshop in Oaxaca, from May 10 to May 15, 2020.

The workshop will focus on the interplay between some stationary and evolution differential equations which appear in a large number of problems in sciences. They represent mathematical models for the study of important phenomena in physics, engineering, biology, medicine etc. The workshop is aimed at gathering leading international experts and younger talented researchers from many countries, to promote exchange of ideas .It is an excellent opportunity for an update overview of the state of the art in the study of these important equations as well as an occasion of implementing collaborations among participants.

The Casa Matemática Oaxaca (CMO) in Mexico, and the Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS) in Banff, are collaborative Canada-US-Mexico ventures that provide an environment for creative interaction as well as the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and methods within the Mathematical Sciences, with related disciplines and with industry. The research station in Banff is supported by Canada's Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), Alberta's Advanced Education and Technology, and Mexico's Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT). The research station in Oaxaca is funded by CONACYT
